John Floyd
John Floyd has been volunteering with Heart House since 2003. He has donated a countless amount of time to the hundreds of children that Heart House has served over the past four years. In addition to John’s commitment to the volunteer program, he has also donated some valuable gifts to Heart House, including technological equipment that we could not otherwise provide for the organization. John has made several contributions to Heart House and we are very excited that he has recently joined the Board of Directors at Heart House, serving as the Treasurer.
Having earned his MBA at St. Edwards University in Austin, John has the accounting skills and business sense that make him a valuable contribution to the Board of Directors at Heart House. John also has an understanding of what Heart House is like
from day to day and what it takes to run a program from a hands-on perspective. Most importantly, he understands the culture of Heart House, because he has been a significant part of creating it.
John is a wonderful example of what commitment and dedication can evolve into through the volunteering program at Heart House. The kids look forward to seeing him and are drawn to him. He has had the opportunity to work with some of the same children form 1st
grade to the 5th grade, which is truly amazing. We are thankful to have John Floyd representing Heart House on the Board of Directors and as a reliable volunteer.
